Remote Learning

Remote Learning Information

At our school, we are committed to ensuring that high‑quality learning continues whenever pupils are unable to attend in person. In the event of a prolonged school closure, we will provide additional details to support families and maintain continuity of education.

Our Main Learning Platform – Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams will act as our primary hub for remote learning. Through Teams, children will be able to access:

  • Live lessons and check‑ins with their teacher
  • Assigned tasks and resources
  • Class announcements and communication

We strongly believe that regular face‑to‑face interaction, even virtually, helps children stay connected, engaged and emotionally supported. This is essential for their wellbeing and mental health.

Online Learning Structure

During periods of remote learning, children will typically receive a combination of:

  • Live sessions with their class teacher
  • Independent tasks to complete at home
  • Online learning activities set through approved educational platforms

Teachers will provide clear guidance on expectations each day.

Purple Mash

Every child has an individual login for Purple Mash, a versatile and child‑friendly learning platform offering thousands of interactive educational activities. Teachers may set ‘2Do’ tasks for pupils to complete at home. Any Purple Mash tasks will be shared directly with the children.
