Swallows trip to Sizewell
Swallows visited the Sizewell Power Station visitor centre as part of their Science work on Electricity. They had lots of fun learning about how the power station works, creating circuits, carrying out a jelly and oil experiment related to friction, exploring the exhibition and doing a quiz. They had a really enjoyable time!
"My best bit was when we saw the model of the Pressurised Water Reactor and Debbie explained how it worked to make electricity."
"I enjoyed walking around the exhibition, and finding out that I can produce enough electricity to work a coffee machine."
"My favourite part was being able to balance 10 steel rods on top of one nail head, all at the same time. It was really clever."
"I enjoyed doing the quiz and finding out the answers by looking at all the models."
